N. Rangachary (Chairman of the Board)
He’s the founding Chairman of Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA). He has also been the Chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes and Central Depository Services Limited. He currently chairs Equitas Holdings Private Limited and Srinidhi. AIG and Max NewYork Life are among companies for which he’s been a board member. An advisor to the Finance Department of the Government of Andhra Pradesh, he’s been awarded “International Insurance Man of the Year” in 1999 by the International Insurance Council, USA. He is a Fellow Member of the ICA, ICWA and ICS of India.
Nimish R. Parekh (Co-Founder & President)
A healthcare entrepreneur, he launched the first third party administrator – Sedgwick Parekh Health Management in India, in 1996. He’s also a member of the Advisory Board on committees of several international organisations viz. the World Bank, FICCI, CII, IRDA and the Committee on Health Insurance for Senior Citizens. He is the founder and President of Cecilia Healthcare Services.
Mukti K Bosco (Co-Founder & CEO)
She graduated in Occupational Therapy from Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore and completed her Masters in Healthcare Management in Administrative Staff College of India. Her novel health insurance program addresses the financial and health needs of India’s rural poor and the unique Community Health Facilitator program to address the preventive health education needs of the poor.
She received Ashoka Fellowship in 2007 for her work in fields of health insurance, health education and health financing system for the poor. She was a member of IRDA sub-committee on micro health insurance. She was also awarded Sadguru Gnanananda National Award – as the Women Social Entrepreneur of the year 2009. She has also worked as Senior Occupational Therapist at Spastics Society of Karnataka. Besides, she’s been a panelist at the World Economic Forum, New Delhi and have attended Annual meetings at the Clinton Global Initiative’s Annual meeting.
He has over 20 years of experience in the setting up and management of offshore software service operations. Formerly Chief Operating Officer of Intelligroup in India, he also ran their UK and Middle East businesses. He has held significant managerial positions in Intergraph, ITC Infotech, Birlasoft and Tata Burroughs/Unisys, and most recently undertook the creation and establishment of Ofen, an up-market bakery and cafe in Hyderabad. Mr. Bosco holds a Masters Diploma in Business Management from Spicer Memorial College, Pune and the University of San Francisco, and is a Founding Member of Parivartan, Bangalore. He is the CMD of ERP. Info Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., and spearheads the technology initiatives and monitoring and evaluation of Healing Fields Foundation.
Ms. Sujatha Rao (Member)
Ms. Sujatha Rao is an exemplary leader in public health. She did her post-graduation at Delhi University, and later earned her master’s degree in public administration at the Harvard Kennedy School. Ms. Rao is also a Takemi Fellow at the Harvard Schoolof Public Health, and we are fortunate enough to have her joining us again as the inaugural Gro Harlem Brundtland Senior Leadership Fellow. Ms. Rao has served the Indian government in a number of different capacities, from serving as the secretary of family welfare in the state of Andhra Pradesh to workingher way up as director, joint secretary, and finally as the Union secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for the government of India.While in her position as Union secretary, Ms. Rao launched the country’s first Ever national program for non-communicable diseases, and also established critical regulations for the medical education, drug, and medical device fields.
She also worked to help revitalize the country’s primary health care system by introducing concepts such as performance-based financing. Among other achievements that should not be overlooked, Ms. Rao also worked as the director general of the National AIDS Control Organization in India, where Sheincreased the organization’s capacity and ultimately helped bring down the new rate of HIV infections by 50%. Ms.Rao has served as the vice chair of the World Health Organization’s Global Advisory Board on Nursing and Midwifery. She was the chairperson of the portfolio committee of the Global Fund for HIV/AIDS, TB, and Malaria, and is currently on the global advisory panel of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Ms. Rao was also thefounding board member of the Public Health Foundation of India, and hasrepresented her country on boards of the WHO, the Global Fund, and UNAID.
Mr. Uttam Patel (Member)
He is a Chartered Accountant and a partner at Patel Mohan Ramesh & Co. An experienced financial consultant, he provides end-to-end local tax solutions (VAT and Income Tax) at Hyderabad. He has a rich experience with financial consulting and Investment banking. He specializes in structuring the financials of a company.
Mr Babu Joseph (Member)
He’s been the Executive Trustee and CEO of Axis Bank Foundation. A post graduate in Agriculture with specialization in Horticulture, he is also a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. He has over 35 years of experience in the Banking Industry with special focus on the rural sector and micro enterprises.
Mr. Abhishek Poddar (Member)
He is a partner in A.T Kearney’s Gurgaon office with 15+ years of consulting experience. He has broad expertise in strategy, business transformation, operational performance enhancement, and organizational restructuring. He has deep industry experience in the power, oil and gas, metal and mining, and infrastructure sectors. He’s been an advisor in companies and business conglomerates across the Asia Pacific region. He has written articles and publications on energy and process industries and spoken frequently at various industry forums and conferences. He is also a member of the CII National Committee on Mining.
