She graduated in Occupational Therapy from Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore. She has earned Masters in Healthcare Management. Besides working at national and international hospitals and organisations, she has also led the Women’s Initiative at the Dean’s Office at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. She specializes in strategizing and planning of research activities of Healing Fields. Her successful research studies includes the ICMR research on health insurance needs of the tribal population in Andhra Pradesh and Deshpande research on health and health financing needs.
She has presented papers in many national and international seminars and conferences. She was also invited to participate in the annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiatives. She has been conferred with the prestigious Ashoka Fellow as well as the MSDS award as the Woman Social Entrepreneur of the year 2009. Besides speaking at the Annual Mayo Clinic’s Transform Conference, she was also a panelist at the World Economic Forum in New Delhi.
She is a nutritionist and has experience of working in hospitals and with NGOs viz. CARE India and AP State Aids Control Society. She takes care of operations, monitoring and evaluation at Healing Fields. She’s been the co-researcher for the Deshpande Survey and the ICMR project. She has actively contributed taking part in the international working group on developing financial and social indicators for micro insurance. Her skills lie in designing survey tools, planning and implementation of research projects and report preparation. She has been active in all the research projects of Healing Fields and designed the study tools of the key research projects like health and health insurance needs assessments, menstrual hygiene survey, and other surveys. including the evaluation study of Vimosewa’s health insurance program.
He holds a MBA degree and has over 15 years of experience in banking and financial consulting. He has worked banking institutions like HDFC Bank, International Commercial Bank and Development Credit Bank (DCB) in retail, corporate, rural/agriculture banking and financial inclusion. He has also worked extensively in rolling out microfinance and financial inclusion strategy for the banks. At Healing Fields Foundation, he is responsible for the operations and is engaged in effective scale-up of the community health education programme multiplied with several initiatives with different stakeholders.
He has an overall 32 years of experience in sectors of development, sanitation and drinking water. His key competencies are in capacity building, institutional development and developing implementation strategy for WASH programme. He has worked closely with institutions of service delivery including Public Health & Engineering Department and Local Self Governance (Panchayati Raj) Department dealing in Sanitation issues in 5 states in India.
He is a postgraduate in Sociology from Purvanchal University. He has over 11 years of experience of supervision and monitoring of grass root projects. Before joining HFF, he worked with DFID project, Vistar Project and World Vision Project. His areas of specialization include mother and child care, newborn care, non-formal education, adult literacy, and self-help group formation. At Healing Fields, he is leading the training of the Community Health Facilitator program in Bihar and UP.
