Position: Research Assistant
Description:To manage and execute the research functions of the organization including internal program analysis and external academic research and coordination. Reporting to GM – New Initiatives.
Qualifications:B.Sc/M.Sc in pure sciences preferably nutrition, biology, sociology Strong academic background in research and epidemiology Minimum three years experience conducting and executing research project Thorough knowledge of statistical methodology and SPSS Strong English communication skills – able to write Willing to travel extensively as per needs of the programme.
Responsibilities:Design surveys and reporting tools that provide the organisation with data for programme execution and analysis of programme impact Coordinate with the field in the collection and entry of organisation data Train staff and other stakeholders on how to properly collect data in the field Keep abreast of academic and health sector developments that are relevant to the organisation and share with the team Identify and apply for Requests for Proposals (RFPs) that fit within the mission and vision of the organisation Manage the design, execution and delivery of external research projects leveraging the organisations internal resources Publish articles on organisation research and programme impact in relevant health and academic publications.
