Healing Fields Foundation is an organization that trains and supports women as health change agents in their communities, focusing on rural areas of India's poorer states to prevent health problems and facilitate access to health services and government entitlements.
CHEs are women from rural and resource-poor communities trained by HFF to become health catalysts in their villages, leading health education efforts and serving as the first point of contact for non-emergency health services.
CHEs act as health educators, behavior change catalysts, problem solvers, facilitators of government health services, health entrepreneurs, telehealth facilitators, and respected community leaders.
HFF has transformed healthcare across over 7,000 villages.
Approximately 9 million people have been reached through HFF's programs.
HFF operates in 10 states across India.
This program trains adolescent girls and boys in government and private schools to become peer educators, focusing on health, hygiene, nutrition, menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, addiction awareness, and domestic violence.
HFF was founded by Mukti Bosco, an Ashoka Fellow and recipient of the 2022 Roux Prize.
